According to the associated press, AT&T has announced that it will allow Voice Over IP Service to it’s subscribers. This will allow Apple to amend it’s policies that restrict such software. Software such as Skype to run on these devices using only data services. This is a great move on the part of AT&T and Apple and should allow for robust growth with regard to calling features. Google Voice……. what might you have to say to this??

So Google has officially released it’s Latitude mobile location service. Although I’ve had a bit of trouble with setting it up on my phone, the application is actually relativly useful. CNN has an in depth article on the new software located here: Google Latitude.
Check it out.The privacy options are extensive, from being able to change your location manually (via iGoogle) or being able to hide yourself all together. You can set up meeting points, send sms and even place calls via the app.
Not bad Mr Google!!
